My son called this morning from work and said he wanted to make Italian sausage and potato gnocchi soup tonight . I was looking at Steve's soup thread when he called . I took that as a sign .I'm kinda surprised more folks aren't posting their football cooks
Most people i know are done with the NFL.Sounds like you have your weekend figured out. I'm kinda surprised more folks aren't posting their football cooks but I'm happy to see that somebody is making the best of it. Hopefully we will see some finished product.

I know how they feel. My life use to be sports, football pro and college, basketball nba and college, hockey, baseball, golf, espn and anything competitive. But I can’t stand how sports are now a part of politics. I use to follow and watch to get away from it all but now it’s a part of it. Other than now bc it’s playoffs, I’ve thinned away from the nfl, nba and any sports channel I turn to or listen to that is talking about our country or politics. I have my beliefs I don’t need toor expect others to hear mine nor do I want to hear other people’s beliefs. They won’t change my mind and I won’t change their mind! Most people i know are done with the NFL.
I wasn't either was just starting to get into it, oh well. UFC is still greatSmoking and Seahawks. I have a tri-tip and some beer soaked brats over hickory. The brats were great!
I‘m not a major sports fan, but entertainment options are pretty limited right now.

Right there with you Mike. I was a Giants fan in Bills country back in the 80’s, when both were at their best. Been a long time for both ...Looks great Daspy, post some done pics too.
We did some Chicken Thighs today, and some Whole Chickens tomorrow on the new Charcoal Smoker. I'll post pics and steps tomorrow night. My team didn't make the playoffs again, Giants, don't fell sorry as I am also a lifetime Mets fan and have gotten very used to disappointment, lol. I mostly watch the playoffs for the food aspect lately.
I have a kindred spirit with Bills fans. They went to the Super Bowl 4 years in a row without winning any. That's worse than anything the Giants' or Mets' fans went through. Our Super Bowl menu is usualy similar each year. I like your idea of it being from the participants' cities. Might try that this year.Right there with you Mike. Our Super Bowl menu mainly from the participants cities, so rooting for KC and GB or NO. Wouldn’t mind seeing TB for the games sake, not sure about food ... probably various seafood dishes.
Well, if you are old enough you saw the Bills win two AFL titles mid-60’s before the merger.I have a kindred spirit with Bills fans. They went to the Super Bowl 4 years in a row without winning any. I'm just about old enough to vaguely remember the Bills before the merger. I also like the Vikings in the 70's, and the Chiefs, they Won 1 Super Bowl before last year. As a lifelong Giants fan it's verboten for me to like Dallas no matter who they're playing, lol. That is interesting the 4 Bills' losses were all to NFC east teams.Well, if you are old enough you saw the Bills win two AFL titles mid-60’s before the merger.
Interesting that the Bills 4 straight SB losses were to the NFC East (Giants, Redskins, Cowboys twice).
And I liked the Vikings in the 70’s ... and the other team 0-4 in the SB.
