Hello to All,
A little about myself:
I love to BBQ, Own Camp Chef Smoke Vault 24 & Camp Chef Woodwind 24 pellet grill.
Have not been able to do any for 2 years as I have had major heart issues in 2022 (Major heart surgery all 5 arteries) Thanks to the Big Guy upstairs and some damn good Surgeons I am still Kickin'. Recovery has been long & slow going from 219lbs to 112lbs. Drug approved by Feds saved me from my maker. Also beat Prostrate Cancer and Type 2 diabetes. Back to 150lbs. so a bit of ways to go yet. Looking forward to spring '25 to fire up my smokers. My wife Linda and I have 4 offspring who have given us 11 grandkids and 1 great grandkid. Lots of Burgers and ribs to do. They want it from Grandpa. Love it. Numbers for family gatherings can be large. Looking forward to my being here on this Forum.

Welcome Stoney. I've got the grands, but no greats, yet. Modern medicine is amazing and they can do great things. Keep on plugging along and get those smokers and grills rolling smoke for the family...

Thank you for the replies. I appreciate very much for you to take time to reply. I will share what I learned or am learning along the way. I spent 17 years grilling on a Napoleon Prestige 500 which was doing just fine. Never had to replace any part during that time. When I decided to go smoker route I gave it to my 1st grand-daughter Jessica who bore our 1st great grandson back in August 2021. They use it regularly. Got only one chance to do ribs on Smoke vault. They were good according to Linda and two best friends. Love the 24 pellet grill too. My burgers are a mix of Brisket & Chuck. The best burger I've had, juicy! Use Montreal steak spice & House of Q 5 star Competition Sauce. MMM good. Grand-daughters #2 & #3 born just gobble them up. Just relish, mustard and grilled onions for garnish. Sloppy but oh so good.
Regards, Stoney
