I've had a busy summer and I'm trying to catch up. We did a group dinner for the July 4th weekend. The day before, I made 5 pounds of bacon candy for the gang.

I also spatched and smoked a couple chickens for pulled chicken sammies. I put the bacon candy on the shelves above the chicken so all that bacon, maple, brown sugar goodness basted the birds as they cooked.

The next day I made a few venison Moink balls, and venison burnt ends. The pizza peel is a handy tool to load/unload the goodies.

Burnt ends.

I pulled the chicken and put in into a crock pot with some chicken stock. It was great.

I also sauteed a cabbage, onion, tomato dish for one of the sides.

There were plenty of side dishes everyone brought along with 60 dozen clams. It was a feast for sure.

Last weekend, I did my first dino ribs. I scored two 4-1/2 pound packs of very meaty ribs for $2.99/pound.

Just salt, pepper, garlic. They were shake off the bone tender.

Those plates would satisfy a mans appetite for a spell. Nicely done.

Point for sure

Everything looks great! I never thought of using a pizza peel to transport. I'll have to try that next time.

Doesn't look like ya missed a beat around the smoker. Everything looks great !

Awesome cooks! Thanks for sharing. Wish I could find some beef ribs like that around these parts.

Sixty (60) dozen clams.
Man, if those are hard shells I don't care if their littlenecks or chowders, that's a lot of clams.
But if they're softshells, that's not particularly a lot of Steamers for a bunch of hungry folks.

There were only 6 of us eating them. Cherrystones. Tender and tasty.

Yes we did. It was great for sure. Not the best thing three days before a Dr.s visit for blood work. However the numbers were good.

Thanks to everyone for the points and likes.Happy smoking!

What a spread! You sure treated your friends and family to a good menu.
