Hey all! So I've been cruising through here a bit looking for ideas and thought I'd post my build.
Standard 55gal drum, I decided to build it upside down so I could open the plugs on the bottom (top) and wash/sweep the drum out.
A pair of 1" elbows/pipes/ball valves welded to the sides serve as handles and intakes.
Made the firebox from some expanded metal off cuts, 14"dia by 14" high sitting on some 2-1/2 flat bar that's welded to the bottom
Weber grate hanging from 3 chains with grab hook style slots so I can adjust the height, even hang a 2nd grill from it with some S hooks.
I mangled the drum lid cutting it off so I'll use the lid from the weber until I find another flat one
Still needs some cleaning up and a burn out but I'm almost there!
