1st marine Division during the war.

Thanks for that post, just having been there, your post was all that more moving. I hope one day all of you who have not been there will get to go, to pay your respects, to view the friends, fellow vets, sisters, brothers mothers and fathers there to remember those 50,000 names.
That wall is an incredible memorial.

i have not seen it but the trucking company i work for we had the honor of hauling segments of granite to washington for that monument so i observed the individual pieces coming thru our facility, and i remember the care that was given in the transport of these pieces given. only our top drivers and top of line equipment used. i dont beleive we hauled it all but just to be able to take part in a small way was special, thks wd!!!
 
Thanks for the post Dude!! Two of my wifes brothers were there as well as my dad. I was in the Army during the war but didn't have to go but, had many friends that went. Touching!!
