This weeks ad had Chuck Roast in it for $5.99/lb. Not great but not bad. Now 2 weeks ago I got a small 9lb brisket for $3.99/lb. Ground beef around here is over $6/lb.
So I said why not make brisket/chuck burgers?
Ground it all up today. Will put up pictures of the grind mixture and packaging later.
Here are my 2 test subjects on the Made In Carbon Steel Griddle. Love this thing for small meals where I don’t need the big outside griddle
Left is mix of chuck and brisket. Right is just brisket.
Here they are on Kings Hawaiian Rolls. Mayo on the bun and a little Ketchup.
It’s amazing how good fresh ground beef is from a solid intact muscle(s) instead of a mixture of scraps.
If you have a Winn Dixie this sale goes thru Tuesday I believe.
