The meat guys finally came through for me. I probably asked him half a dozen times to save me full plate ribs. A few hours ago I get a text that he has some set aside for me, very close to 25lbs which is four plates still cryovac'd.
I dropped what I was doing and drove down to pick them up, before one of his guys cut them into short ribs.

Im set for the rest of the summer with a total of six 4 bone plates. I had two in the deep freezer already.

I'm kinda excited about it,can you tell?

The meat guy at Safeway said, they will have the sale again before winter hits, I'll either grab more or get another rain check. I didn't even know about these rain checks until he told me about them. Basically anything they have on sale, if you don't need it right away, you just ask for an R.C at any cash register. Good to know if you have a Safeway near you, although I'm sure others stores do it as well, I just never knew about them.

All our grocery stores around here offer rain checks. If it's sold out during a sale next time they have it you get it at the sale price..... but YOU have to ask for the rc,they don't suggest it usually.

Great score! Glad you finally got the hook up. Funny, they are not hard to get out my way. Always a head scratcher about what cuts are available (or not) regionally.
