Decided that a 30 gallon UDS is best for me so i build this. New barrel i picked up from a local dealer. All stainless hardware and Weber grates. Im currently running 2 1/2” ball valves and one 1/2” nipple in the back. The exhaust is 1”. I have maintained 250 for 18 hrs on my initial burn and it stayed +/-5 degrees the whole time!

Looking forward to seeing it in action!

So im thinking of changing my exhaust a little. Its only a 1" pipe. If i was to move the exhaust to the back of the drum itself at the very top and add a second of the 1" would this allow me to run at higher temps arould 300 F if i needed to for random items? And better control of my temp around 250?

This is what im refering too
