Work continues to interrupt my life more than I would like so my posts have been few and far between, but I am still among us and doing the occasional smoke. Actually, I shouldn't complain as I am gainfully employed, enjoy what I do and make a good living for me and my family.

Got back in town yesterday afternoon and stopped off to make a few groceries. I always check the meat dept to see if anything strikes my fancy for some impromptu smoking. Saw a couple of brisket points packaged up and I snagged em. Man, do I love points.

Rubbed em down and stuck in the ice box for a few hours. Then around 10pm I threw them in the #2 with a hodgepodge of hickory, peach and wild cherry. Smoked em at 235* while I slept to an IT of 196*.

Got up this morning and was greeted with these:

Wrapped em up in foil and stuck em in the fridge until lunch time. Chopped of a bit for some quick "Texican" style tacos.

Man I love points.

Thanks Everyone. I think I'll do Texjun tonight and make brisky Po-Boys. The some with the eggs in the morning. Maybe brisket fried rice tomorrow for lunch. I love brisket.

Looks tasty! Wish I could find just points.
