Originally I was going to be smoking one brisket for Easter. Now, more family is showing up, and I will be doing 2 briskets. Do I need to allow for a longer cook time with a second brisket in the smoker? They are both about 8 pound briskets.
No, they will take about the same amount of time as one would take. The only difference being when you put both in the smoker at the same time, that much meat will drop the smoker temp down & it will take a little longer to come back up to temp. So overall it may take a half hour longer to do 2, instead of 1.
