Stopped into our local Savealot for some miscellaneous things and saw they had Tbone family packs for $2.99 / lbs and they are tail on. The also had huge porterhouse for $3.49 / lbs. Crazy cheap and spring through the packs many had nice marbling.

Heck of a deal I probably would have bought much at that price

My Dad loves Savealot and got me into it but pretty rough crowd at ours. Butts pretty much always $1/lb. They had boneless rib roasts for $6lb about 3 weeks ago and told my Dad to go and get some for me but he didn't... They will also have beef ribs at a decent price. Today is my daughter's 8th and will go see if they have some t bones. Thanks for the heads up!

Dang thats a heck of a deal! We had a save a lot but they closed about 2 years ago. You could find some great deals there sometimes. Nice score Jeff!

Great deal! I hate to be the negative one but is it Mexican beef, some of that stuff is below select grade and can be pretty bad, I know from experience.

Yep I know where yours is. It can get a little rough out that way. You may have to check ours out for specials. Last week they had ribeye and rib roast for $4.99. Not long before that they were $3.99.

I didn’t look this time. Occasionally they do have Mexican beef. I have had good and bad from that. I just pick through looking for well marbeled packs.

I haven't seen prices like that in years Jeff, about $4.75lb is as good as it gets here in AZ, or even when we were back in CA. RAY

For sure look for that Winn Dixie carries a line they call Ranch Hand and we tried it once or twice and will never buy it again. They put that stuff on sale all the time but I haven't seen it as low as Jeff paid. I'm sure other grocery stores sell something similar but some don't
