Brined chicken for the 1st time today. I will never smoke chicken any other way again. Wow is all I can say.

1/2 gal cold water
1/2 cup kosher salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Dales marinade

Soaked meat for 4 hrs then rinsed and patted dry then added evoo and my rub

I did my first brine over the weekend.

2 gal cold water

2 cups sugar

2 cups sea salt

fresh garlic ( I love garlic so I used alot.)

Fresh onion out of our garden.

Let sit over night and it was the moistest bird I have ever had!

I have never brined pork. I use a straight rub on pork.

Pork rub

Garlic powder

onion powder

brown sugar

wrap in plastic and let sit over night in the fridge.

That's all I've ever done. Just curious if a brine would bring more moisture to the pork.

I also did a brined chicken on Sunday.  Turned out great.  Mine ended up looking awfully similar to yours!

Very nice!
