red rooster Newbie Aug 31, 2013 10 10 Burton, MI Sep 3, 2013 #7 I did my first brine over the weekend. 2 gal cold water 2 cups sugar 2 cups sea salt fresh garlic ( I love garlic so I used alot.) Fresh onion out of our garden. Let sit over night and it was the moistest bird I have ever had!

red rooster Newbie Aug 31, 2013 10 10 Burton, MI Sep 3, 2013 #9 I have never brined pork. I use a straight rub on pork. Pork rub Garlic powder onion powder brown sugar wrap in plastic and let sit over night in the fridge.
