Trying beef jerky may be too soon for a rookies will see been 5 hrs almost done
 
No pics or recipe? And process? Hard for anyone to help with little info.
 
Plenty Recipes, goin for it been smokin for a week, lots to learn, never realized how n depth thos hobby is

Heh. He means, provide the recipe you chose to use and your methodology. What cut, how is it sliced, what was it marinated in and for how long, what equipment are you using to smoke, at what temps, etc.

That sort of stuff :-)

I used a recipe for the marinade on Pinterest for sweet heat jerky, used eye of round slices into 1/4” strips. The were about 1 1/2 to 2” wide, I sliced those in half. Marinaded for 24 hrs used a Louisiana smoker at 185 for 5 hrs
