1st BBQ Competition!

Hey all, competed in our first BBQ competition over Labor Day weekend. Turned out to be a huge success, we scored a 2nd in the Misc. category with a fatty!  Then were crowned overall champions!  My apologies for no pictures but as we got dumped on by rain for a couple hours, my camera took the punishment.  Im including the link from the newspaper.

Well it was just my first as well so not very experienced myself, but one thing I know is stick with recipies and techniques you've tried and know are good, dont bother trying to change something up just for the comp.  Good luck to you and I hope you do as well or better than we did on our first, keep us posted!
