1st attempt at a brisket

Don't be too hard on yourself, brisket can be tough to do sometimes. So, learn from this and try again. Hey, it wasn't a failure by any stretch so now you have one under your belt and go back to work.

Hey, if it tastes like roast beef, I'd eat it, no problem.
 
We poured the Curlys BBQ sause on it and ate it. Tastes good. A little dry, but not bad enough that my wife does not want me to try again! My pork butt turned out much better, but I'll give this a go again soon. Thanks for everyone's help. Will try and post some pics when the kids go to sleep.
 
I'm sort of new to brisket. Is it supposed to be so salty? Or, did I get a different type? Be patient with my dumb ??'s It cooked up nice but...man, is it salty.
 
Mine was not salty at all. Maybe the rub you used was a salty one.

I know why mine did not turn out great. I did not drink a single beer. Next time I'll drink a lot!
