Well my frist try at Pizza on thr weber the top looks great the bottom was charcoal, so I had to try again.

On the first try I place the charcoal under the stone, not smart, and ended up cracking the stone after taking the pizza off because I didn't put the top of the weber back on. On my 2nd try I place a pan in the center and  the charcoals only around the outside of the weber and it work great.

1st try

I had the same problem with the first couple of pizza's I made also. Then I found out if you keep the grill temp around 350. The stone gets hot enough to draw the moisture out of the crust, but not burn it to a crisp. About 1/2 to 3/4 chimney of charcoal spread around the outside is plenty.
