Vet can't be serious. One of our girls had major surgery on Thursday. Vet said no running/jumping for 14 days. Azul is doing her best to drive us nuts. She found some tennis balls and is jumping around the house like she is a psycho.

Feeling your pain. when our youngest (border collie mix) was 6 mos he hurt his shoulder. Keep him quite for 3-4 weeks the vet said. Yeah not so easy
How long before you gave in? Azul spent an hour pacing and whimpering after Ernestina left for her quilt club meeting...

We put doggie gates up and keep him fairly calm. Though we did have to take him out on a leash and he couldn't go out with the older dog. After the all clear we took him to the dog park and he ran for a solid hour without slowing down

We just took a look at Azuls incision, may cut her loose tomorrow. Don't expect to see her for a while

Look like she might be going to the Vet today, she managed to pull some of the stitches out

Best of luck with Azul. Helping a dog heal after surgery can be tough on all. But the vet usually is spot on with advice. Beautiful dog, I wish her the best.

My dog Taz sliced his foot right at the beginning of duck season. He had 4 staples and a few stiches and was suppose to stay calm for 10 days. After 3 he was driving us nuts. It was almost impossible to make it the full 10, but we did it and it was for the best. He now has no effects from it.

Texted some pictures to the Vet. She said all looks well....other than the missing staples of course. No need to see her. We were going to give her a bit of freedom today...but have decided against it.
Can't imagine a pup having staples...her appetite has finally returned. Unfortunately she has developed a couple of new quirks. She won't eat unless her bowl is on her bed. We give them Sugar Snap Peas in the morning. She takes one of them and runs to one of the beds....shredding the case.

Couple of years ago, Roxy had surgery to reattach the ligaments in her knee.  Had to wrap a towel around her in front of the hips as a carry handle to keep the weight off the knee while walking her.  Just about went nuts for 4 weeks.

Just read this to my wife....Ernie is grateful we don't have to do anything like this. But if we had to we most certainly would....

Vet just called. Wants to see her tomorrow to remove the stitches that Azul has not. Also got the lab results back. When they initially spayed her they missed a very small portion of her right ovary.

Azul had the remaining sutures removed today. She just left with Ernie to go to the emergency clinic to get sewn shut...the incision opened up...
