Craigslist New Braunfels - Anyone know when Char-Broil took over making these?

I am looking at picking this smoker up to have a second smoker. Worth it? http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/spo/2515116476.html I am not going to pay that ($140) if it's the Char-broil bastardized version, but if it's the original New Braunfels with the thick steel construction, is this worth...

Well, can't believe I did it, but I bought...

...a new truck. I've had F-150's prior, but I just liked the new Chevy better. Got a great deal on a leftover 2010 LTZ crew cab. The thing is loaded with every imaginable option. Couldn't beat the deal, so I thought I'd give GM a shot. So far I love it.

Looks like I'm going to be doing some splitting in my near future. Can't complain though, as I got it free from a coworker trying to get rid of it. She happened upon it free as well from a woman who didn't want to pay a tree company to haul it away. My coworkers husband is a craftsman, and he...

Day 4 with the MES - Pork Shoulders - Qview

Well, I wanted bone in pork shoulders, but all Costco had were boneless. Since I'm making pulled pork, I went ahead and got them. Rubbed them with Meowy's pork rub, and into the MES @ 225 with 50/50 mix peach and hickory in the AMNS, and Hickory in the MES chip tray. Going to finish with...

Went to Bass Pro this Morning and look what followed me home...

Well, all I asked for Christmas was Bass Pro gift cards, so I headed up to the local Bass Pro this morning and got me an MES40. The 20070311 model. Got 'em to price match Cabela's too since it's $30 cheaper there. It's preseasoning as I type this. Also threw the new AMNS in to burn off the oil.

    St. Louis Ribs w/ ABT's - QView

My Grandma passed away a few months back and I was going through her deep freeze and found a package from the local Hispanic market near her house where she frequently shopped (regardless of the fact that she was 100% off the boat German). First Brisket...Q-view

Used Geek's basic brisket method with a few additions to the rub (cayenne, garlic powder, and paprika).
