    Can't Help Myself

Just used the iron to do a store bought pizza. Preheated the iron to the desired temp, 400*, for 30 minutes. Ran pizza for 20 minutes and it can out great. Now I'll re-season it in the AM with some grapeseed oil and it will be good to go.

    Up really, really early today

My PB820D has been busy. Being empty nesters, I don't run my smokers to much. A lot of left-overs in the freezer to be recycled. But this week I out did myself with 3 smoke runs. 1st was a chuck roast, next day baby back ribs and today did a butt roast for pulled pork. Our #2 son w/ wife and...

    Where's the Beef?

Rapped it at 180* with beef stock. Ran it to 202* and let it rest for 2 hours. Rubbed w/ Pit Boss Brisket seasoning smoked over hickory.

    Where's the Beef?

It had been a while since doing any beef. So while I was rigging our new back-up generator this little "Chucky" took a smoke bath. And momma's cheesy smashed tators rounded out diner. I had 2 plates. Not too bad for a pellet pooper.

    Good use for old P.P.

Found a couple of older undated bags of smoked pulled pork. It's hard to beat a hot bowl of chili on these cooler Michigan days. Now onto the smoker for 6-8hrs to blend and cook down. And to answer the nagging question-------that's a 6 1/2 qt cast iron pot. I'm all out of "favors due" so most of...

Anyone have a standby generator at the house?

I was "T n D" lineman in California back in the 80's. Our 1st thing to do on an outage was to patrol and listen for a jenny's running, then we would pulled their meters. We were tired of losing linemen to backfeed.

    B.C.C.

Our latest letter carrier has gone out her way to deliver packages past our gated drive so I owe her. So out with a batch of B.C.C. The biggest trick is to make sure your beverage is at room temp and to use the fat trimming to plug to gullet hole so your steaming beverage stays inside. My...
