    Smoked a pork belly in the electric this afternoon. Did think of putting onto charcoal rig to finished but was starting to drizzle. My wife and I made a loaf of crusty bread to accompany the meal and we still had salad from yesterday's dinner. Next time gotta remember to use an apron when baking.!

    Time. I know that I can set the MES to go for 5, 6 + hours and it will run consistent temp without me being there. I just dont have the time to sit with offset barrel smoker for 6 hours. I like the added smoke from charcoal grill so finish on that unit.

    I cooked up 1/4 chicken pieces that was served with a tomato & cucumber salad. I put a paprika based rub on the skin and put some under the skin as well. Skin came out crispy and tasted the rub. After being indirect for about 3/4 hour, I put them on direct to get some char-grilling going.

    Beef ribs

    Smoked a rack of beef ribs this afternoon. Ran for slightly over 2 hours in MES at 245 and then transferred to being indirect on offset barrel smoker. Grilled some steak fries as a side. Beef ribs quite tasty. I had used Jack Daniels wood chips.
