Why not connect it back up, check for leaks then, if there's none, continue as normal until the propane is used up? From wham I'm reading it leaks when disconnected from any appliance, so If it's connected and doesn't leak it will be safe to use.

If it's one of the small camping type cylinders, I'd put it on whatever you use it for, run it dry then refill or replace it. I have one I've been refilling for years and it does the same thing. I just keep my torch attached to it...

You got the good info here. All I can add is do a few more bellies, use one standard (like Pop's brine)try different methods of restin / drying and slicing. Take notes of what you've done.

I bottled my "sauce" at just below a simmer into boiled bottles so I know it's sterile. Now, being my first go around at bottling, I tried some of both and they are really good. I let them set for a week and then some and here's what I have.
