    Beef Cost is Unreal!

Wish we saw those kind of prices here in Finland, brisket is not a domestic cut so what we get is imported. Right now only option i have locally is frozen/thawed Black Angus from Australia at 12 USD per LB out the door. Silver lining is that i don't have to worry about questionable safety...

    Brisket Failure on the Searwood

Hmm... starting IT was 31º. Was this brisket originally frozen then thawed prior to taking the temp?

    Ground brisket

Great price and I love ground brisket I don't freeze my grinder parts. The meat tends to stick. I usually just chill well in garage fridge that is struggling in our recent heat and humidity wave.

    Sauce for smoked brisket

Jeffs is good BBQ sauce. If you like spicy BBQ sauce get some Meat Mitch Stay Hot, it my fav. Or Kosomo's Honey Jalapeno. I sometime braise brisket in beef broth, that sauce is money!

    Beef Cost is Unreal!

Man, I wish we could get a sale on anything beef. 96% ground Kroger beef is on sale at $9.99 right now. Insanity. I havent been to Costco in a couple weeks to scope the brisket price. Last one I bought was $6 and change per pound.

    Sauce for smoked brisket

In Franklin's book he talks of his favorite being beef ribs with Franks hot sauce and he is not kidding! Works equally well on brisket. I'd get a bottle of Blues Hog and a bottle of Franks.

    BBQ Diary with Woody

Brisket looks great. When I get a full packer brisket, I always separate the flat and point.

    Beef Tallow

It's even good for pouring on pink butcher paper before wrapping a rack of ribs or brisket or pork shoulder if you're into wrapping.
