...the last one of the season and getting harder to schedule because of the grandkids playing sports.
so I decided to give Jeff's doublesmokedham a try and it was amazing!! everyone really liked it, and I thought it was one of the best tasting hams that I've had in a long, long time...
Thanks Keith, the next day I made a batch of doublesmokedham salad and finished off the tomato. Ham salad is right up there with BLTs. I've never tried a tomato and onion sammie. That will have to change this summer.
Appreciate it Bill. Yup Gennies, either regular or cream it doesn't matter...
My plans for Easter…. Doublesmokedham (@Bearcarver style), @Dutch Wicked baked beans (mom loves them), the corn salad I saw on here, and mom is making her potato salad (best in the world). And she’s doing some dessert.

Looks fantastic! I love doublesmokedham. I need to find some shank hams on sale to do doublesmoked pulled ham again. I used that for so many purposes over the year having vacuum sealed 2 lbs packs.
I just used the sticky pig mustard sauce as a base for a doublesmokedham glaze yesterday . Added brown sugar , maple syrup , nutmeg , honey and some allspice .
Gonna need to find the other flavors .
...20" x 13.5" for the BBQ fits good and that way the 2 outside burners can be my regulators once up the temp.
So Yesterday had a doublesmokedham with pineapple Glaze for MIL's birthday, and yes there was cake also .
Made some pizza dough last night and into the fridge until today, I like it...
I paid 99¢lb, grabbed three. I score them with a sheetrock knife and smoke the ham on the kettle, chimney full of coals, Vortex with wood chunks. I don't get all fancy, baste a couple times with pure maple syrup near the end, pull at 150º, 10 minute rest. Always a nice smoke flavor and juicy...
Think you can't make a ready-to-eat spiral sliced ham from the store a WHOLE heckuva lot better? Think again!
By the way, I'm from deep in the holler, NC and we say "speeral" LOL🤣
I don't use a rub on doublesmokedham, just a glaze toward the end, but you can substitute one of the no salt type substitutes (Pottasium Cloride) for the "real" salt if you just want the salty flavor. I started using it for a lot of things a few years ago for the Mrs' low sodium diet. You...
In the past several weeks, I've doublesmoked two spiral cut hams.
I sit these hams in a half pan and use my Masterbuilt GF. I glaze the hams at the end of the cook so the pan prevents a huge mess in the bottom of the smoker.
I did not use a rack in the bottom of the half pan on the first...
I havent smoked any. But dont see why you cant. I always have a bunch of bacon ends and pieces or doublesmokedham in the freezer I'll add into my peas/beans. Now you got my brain spinning.

Greetings all,
It's been too long for me since I last posted but here's some shots of a doublesmokedham we did last weekend. I started it on the kettle joe with a few nice chunks of pecan but had to finish it on thr Bullseye since I underestimated the charcoal needs. Still was great...
I have done a doublesmokedham but it was with a Jerk seasoning sauce coating about a year ago here.
But have never done a spiral one yet, that was yet.
