Masterbuilt Gravity Series 800 - one year in

Bro, I hear you. Trust me, you are not alone. I acquired a Pit Boss pellet grill and over the course of about a year, I ended up having to replace every mechanical and electrical part on it. Warranties are good, but they are in place for the EXCEPTIONAL case that something goes wrong. I'm...

    18.5" WSM Inside Sweating?

The pit was probably running hotter than what you are used to causing a more rapid boil. 22" vs. 18.5" is a pretty big difference in area, larger pan holding more water, etc. etc.

    Okay, I Really Gotta Know...

That sir, is a very valid point. Didn't think of it that way. Okay, so far it's a combination of large(r) families, hoarding and bottomless stomach pits. My next thought is how often do you smoke, but I know someone will say 'when I run out of meat..', so I won't ask that question. Mark

    Okay, I Really Gotta Know...

I've been reading posts here for some time and it seems many of you either have extremely large families, tons of friends or tapeworms. For many, smoke sessions usually involve gobs of meat - 40-60lbs at times - in one session. WTF do you do with all of it? Where does it all go? Mark

    Masterbuilt Gravity 560s on Clearance!!

At $250 (CAD) I'd snag one and reinforce it where it is needed and throw out the switches that will fail. Not at $500 tho.

    Masterbuilt Gravity 560s on Clearance!!

I'm curious. Does anyone know if Masterbuilt addressed the issue of the thin fire box and the fiber-based insulation they use?

    Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 $350

Yeah, if only that could happen... I'm actually pretty disappointed I couldn't get in on this. You have no idea how long it took me to convince the wife we "needed" it....

    Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 $350

Just make sure a brisket is on there too okay? :emoji_laughing: I was getting things coordinated for a shipping firm to bring one of these across the border for me. I went to make my purchase this morn and find that they ended the sale. What a letdown.

Getting that itch - Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560

Wow that is a good price. The only caveat is I live in Canada and shipping isn't available north of 49 it seems. Blast this Covid - I'd get it shipped to the border and pick it up if I could....

Getting that itch - Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560

Last year I snagged a small Brinkman barrel charcoal smoker for $20 at a yard sale and was impressed by the quality of cooks it produced. The water pan really made a difference, at least to this pellet pooper owner. Meat turned out nice and moist; very little temperature variance - you know...

Pit Boss 700 FB Electrical Issue Troubleshooting

That's good news. I honestly hope your problems end there. I'm a fellow 700 owner and I think folks here are tired of hearing about my woes haha.

Pit Boss 700 FB Electrical Issue Troubleshooting

Not making much sense bro. The only thing that would pull any serious current is the igniter. Pull the guts out and disconnect everything. Plug only the controller into the wall and turn on and monitor for awhile. Next plug in the motor and monitor, etc.
