Down here in Texas I've found that many folks use a commercial rub sold in almost every store around, "Zack's Brisket Rub". While I like to make everything from scratch myself I have tasted several cuts that were rubbed with one or another of Zack's products and they were all damn good. I checked their website and found that they are here in Texas and make a bunch of different spice mixes for sausage, rib and brisket rubs, and carry all the more obscure sausage making ingredients like corn syrup solids, milk powder, caseins etc. And all at lower prices than most of the other on line sausage making suppliers. Before I knew it I'd ordered $40 worth of stuff and it arrived THE NEXT DAY! So now that I have all this stuff I want to know if anyone has used their sausage spice blends before and what you might have thought of them.
Thanks,
Jimbo
