Thank You, Chile! My only guess is that we were going to cut it extremely close on time and one of our guys threw on some wood out of the smoker that was putting of a thick, dark smoke. I know it's a no-no but we had no choice. The coals had run down on the webber and we had 15 minutes left before turn-in. I actually never tasted the chicken though. Dumb on my part but I had to get the ribs ready to turn in. Oh well, that's what keeps up coming back, right?!!!

Great job on the wins!! I would like to go to one of these comps, that would be fun watching everyone compete

A full smoker is a happy smoker

That is impressive placing overall, congrats! The chicken really looks great appearance wise, but hinner sauce coating maybe needed.

Sticky, I agree. I actually thinned it out a bit with chicken broth and a little butter and cooked it down. It wasn't as thick as it looks, but I do agree it needs to be thinner.

Those are some awesome lookin thighs. That's some BBQ Pitmasters type stuff right there! lol

Man, now you're making me want to compete!

But I need to get more serious about smoking first. I only do it like once a week if that. Competitions look like fun though, n i'd love to see if I can place anywhere higher than dead last :P
