Yank-a-billy vortex and wings

After reading a couple of threads on the use of the bbq vortex, I decided to make my own out of a stainless steel bowl. And decided to try it out and make some bbq wings for the family! Here are some pictures:

They look great but how did they come out? Was the skin crispy?

Not really crispy. Think I needed them to sit out alittle longer. They were out for about an half hour! But, they were good!

Nice Job on that homemade Vortex Yankee. Your gonna find more and more uses for it as you go. Those wings and plate look awesome.

Thanks. And that’s what I did, went through our metal bowls, since we have so many, and decided we didn’t need that many....lol!
