It’s been a while since the X-Fire has burned so it was time to create some flavor flames

Started with a chimney of coals then added 1 oak split and one cherry split and let nature create some magical heat.....

Then the TT went on with the grate elevated to give it some time to take some smoke.

It hovered above the fire & smoke for about 40 mins and a IT reached 100.

Then it was lowered to right above to get a nice sear!

Bingo IT 135!!

Now the final plate! A fresh “arty”, garlic mash, home made bread sticks and a red wine balsamic glaze!!! Was kinda bummed no fresh herbs for the top.....but we survived.

Mighty fine looking plate Civil.

Point for sure
Chris

Wow...I mean just WOW!! I know I've driven you nuts over that X-Fire but I still want one :emoji_laughing: I guess the Santa Maria is pretty close but something about the name X-Fore just conjurers up lurid thoughts of culinary decadence.

Robert

Another great looking meal! Including your daughters cake. And once again the xfire mesmerizes with a great fire pic...I love it!

Ryan

Civil first your fire pic is just professional photography class!! I can almost smell that delcious Fire. The meal is A+ as always. Is that an artichoke on the smaller plate?

Thanks Robert! I’ve been loving the stuff you have been putting out on your Santa and CI....just tying to keep up! But yes I LOVE the X-Fire....my son has also learned to use it against me....he said he was going to take it away from me when he goes to school......I said forget that we are going to move next to so he can live at home when he goes to school!

Thanks Ryan! And I took that picture just for you! It’s actually a new fav for me

Thanks jcam! I will blame the magical powers of the fire and not me for the pic....the fire wants people to see inside it’a soul!

yes the arti is on a smaller salad size plate.

Wow great looking meal. I was beginning to think you retired or sold the X-FIRE. Great looking cake too.

Warren
Thanks Warren! Oh it’s not retired!

If he sold that X-Fire and didn't give me first shot at it, I'd be forever offended :emoji_laughing:

I really want one of those,
Robert

I’ve had offers but I just say you have to ask the boy....and he just looks at them and walks away....

however, yesterday would have been the day to ask......see I haven’t left the house in a while and had to make an e-run to the store and on returning I just went into habit mode and forgot the X-Fire was in my parking spot.

So X-Fire 1 truck 0.....not a scratch on the XF...

edit PS
Back up cameras suck with sun glare and note to self need to get it painted cause the XF is exactly the same color as the smoked glaze in the shell..... so was in hiding when looking through the back mirror....

Ps second edit....my wife was in the truck with me and she said how did you not see that monstrously huge thing! I said get in the drivers seat. She did and said oh......but responded I still hate that thing at the moment.....lol!

Thanks John! The X-Fire is a true dream to work with! I haven’t decided what I’m going to do when my son takes it.......

My daughter says thanks about the cake! Here is what she plated for me this AM....
