You'll probably see lots of mods that people do to upgrade their cooker. I suggest that you use it several times before spending $$$ for these items. That way, you will have a better idea of what you want and need.
The stock WSM performs well without modification. If I had it to do over again, I'd forgo any mods and spend the money on a good thermometer, which will make your cooks more enjoyable.
