So I couldn't help myself. I bought another WSM 18.5" NIB off of craigslist this weekend for 200.00.

It's an addiction and it's starting to affect my family...they're wanting me to compete...

I think I'm going to take the plunge...

nice..

I am doing my first competition in a few weeks with my 18.5" WSM, and a 22" Weber kettle. Its been a fun solid year of intense practice, rub development, etc leading up to taking the plunge.

good luck.

I was going to use my first WSM and my 18" kettle and my Weber Performer, but because the performer is gas fired to light the coals, I didn't want any issues causing a disqualification.

Plus it was a good excuse to get another WSM!

Good move.

Gas and electric's(other than the Trager pellet model I believe) are typically forbidden at competitions.
