Winter finally got here

Hope everyone is safe and sound this morning.   We received 9in. of new snow last night.   Very windy this morning.  Snapped a couple pictures last night before the wind picked up.   I need to find my shovel, I got meat to smoke tomorrow!

Hey man, where exactly are you located? I'm in the Queen City, Charlotte. All last night the news had urgent reports of the city being dumped on by snow and black ice. My boss told me to take my lap top home because most likely uptown Charlotte would be closed due to the heavy snow.

When I got home last night, I went to both Bilo and Harris Teeter. You would think armegeddon was here. I kid you not, normal house wives were batteling like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant for milk, bread, frozen foods and bottled water. The lines were long and tempers were flaring.

I got home and while nursing my Gentlemen's Jack, I listened to the rain hitting my windows hard.

I woke up at 6:30 this am and guess what, its bone dry outside. When I looked at the crappy Charlotte Observer, the local newspaper, now theyre crying about black ice.

Oh well, guess I need to get my lazy butt to work. :biggrin:

LOL.  yeah  they blow all the weather out of proportion.  I'm about 20 miles north of Boone.   We got about 8-9 in.  last night.
