Decided to take it easy for Father’s Day this year. Had a good time with the kids, drank some cold beer, watched the US open, and did a little outdoor cooking.

Got 3 pounds of wings marinating in Italian dressing, minced garlic, soy sauce, dales, and Valentina extra hot hot sauce.

Decided while that was marinating I would throw together some moinks and abt’s.

Put home smoked cheese cubes in the meatballs and wrapped in bacon. ABT’s got store bought garden veggie cream cheese because I’m lazy. Cracked an ice cold Rapturous.

Threw in a few habanero’s too

250 degrees 1 hour in

Getting close so brushed with B dubs honey bbq sauce(see the trend of my laziness that day)

Back to the wings. Decided just to grill them.

Simple and easy. Will say the smoked cheese cubes really set off the moinks I would highly recommend. Thanks for looking

CRACK! Folks tailgating in the parking lot better lookout for that ball, cause it's gone out of the park!

Fantabulous Finger Foods!

Thank you sir. Was a great simple finger food kind of day. Really enjoyed your post on the hot and fast brisket in the SV24 btw

Looks great!

Now were you lazy and buy cheese cubes and smoke them or actually cubed it? ;) <Just kidding!>

Haha. Actually bought a 5 pound bag of cheese cubes on clearance over the winter and smoked them on a Bradley rack. I would recommend next time you toss some cheese in. Being from WI you gotta have access to all kinds of good stuff!

Like you wouldn't believe!

Some times Gordons has good prices on cubed cheese though and it's pretty good quality. might snag a bag and cold smoke it...

Thanks man, it took a leap of faith to try that Extreme Hot-n-Fast method on a $100. hunk of beef.
But I figured that big'ol brisket could handle it better than a smaller one.
It sure did pay off nicely.

I hear ya man it would be extremely hard to try that on a nice piece of meat like that! You ever tried putting a couple charcoal briqs in your smoke vault with the wood chunks? I've seen people do it before just to help get a better smoke ring but never tried it myself figured I would ask someone else who had one. Not really sure if it would make a difference

No, haven't tried it with charcoal briquettes.
Just hardwood chips, chunks and once or twice with hardwood lump charcoal.
I've seldom had a problem with not getting a good smoke flavor or ring.

Awesome job man. I'm with you sometimes just snacking makes a satisfying meal not to heavy but good. When we go out I will order a couple of advertisers instead of a regular meal.

Completely agree. Was going back and forth on grilling the wings or frying them but grilling got the nod this time. Have had pretty good results smoking and then frying before too
