I had shrimp and grits at a restaurant in Georgia and loved them so much we bought the cook book. The recipe calls for white wine in the sauce but I wanted to find a substitute for that. I tried white grape juice and a couple other things I found on the internet but nothing made the recipe turn out right. The white grape juice was too sweet and the other things were even worse. Anybody have any good ideas?
