Wife’s away till late tomorrow evening and since she is not much of a beef eater it’s t bone steak fresh mushrooms and shrimp for me ! HELL YEAH!

I think a lot of us are guilty of this. Tracy is going out of town next Thursday and won't get home till Sunday. She's certainly into the steaks but not seafood or chicken, both of which I love. Gonna be doing a bunch of both I can promise you that Thursday night will probably blackened catfish and shrimp with cheesy cayenne grits. Friday will most likely be BBQ chicken thighs. Who knows for Saturday....

Looks good man! Yeah, I am also guilty of when she's gone planning a nice menu for myself.

However this made me think of something from the past that I want to share.

17 years or so ago my cousin Goat's wife had to go out of town for a few days to tend to something. Goat had to stay behind due to his job. First night she is gone I go over his house, figured we'd party it up and play some Tiger Woods Golf on the PlayStation. To my surprise Goat served up bacon wrapped filet mignon, lobster tail, a vegetable, a nice side salad with rolls! Honestly didn't even know he could prepare a meal like that.

A few days go by she gets back I stopped in and she asked what we did while she was away, unknown to me he never said anything. So I start telling her about the meal he laid out. She got this glare in her eyes, said something along the lines of "I've never seen you open a can of soup" and it was on! LOL. Needless to say I excused myself and found somewhere else to go for the evening. We all laugh about it now, but it got heated.
