I was reading a comment on face book about RO Steakhouse. I guess it comes in a green bag. Anyone tried it?

I thought it had much larger pieces than the red bag stuff but I may have just got lucky on the couple bags I have got. If you have a menards nearby watch them, they sell it cheap from time to time.

I have used it quite a bit, and have had good luck with it. I would have no problem recommending it.

Ive used both, and am currently using Cowboy(couldnt find RO the last couple visits to the store).

I dont notice much difference between the two other than the RO sometimes would burn hotter, and when grilling sometimes pop embers at me. My last 3 smokes with the Cowboy as the starter(I use more wood than lump) have been some of my best, but that could be due to getting better at the craft.

Man, this forum has a topic for everything i need to read. I was about to make a post when i came across this. I have full access to RO or Cowboy equally. Home depot sells the cowboy but the bag felt lighter than my pillow. I could have sworn i saw RO somewhere and when i stopped by the dreaded wally world(which i am sadly starting to like because they just have everything, and are promoting green this week) they had the RO for 6.00/bag. I decided to pick up a bag and see what the big deal is. If it burns hot and fast it might be great for chicken.

Now i have two costco sized bags of kingsford comp two regular bags of kingsford(one bag found the rain) and one bag of RO. I will try all three out and give my input here aswell.
