Don't let it bother you. This is a pretty active forum. Sometimes posts travel down the list pretty quickly.

I post because I like to encourage people the way I was encouraged when I first started.

I've used that line a couple of times and the reason I do is to let the OP know that what they have posted has been seen. Since I have been on this forum since it was a yahoo group, I really don't care care what my post count is.

dnovotny-See? Not hard at all-you asked a "how to" question and got a good detailed explaination from ralphster. That is what makes this forum great. Looking forward to your first offical thread!!

OK I need some people to tell the truth here
we post because the wife is bitching at us, so we go to our room with the camera, download the pics that everyone laughed at us for taking in the first place (while they eat all our food!) then post some comments for like minded people and enjoy the process. We learn some tips and share some tips.
That's why we post!!!
Or maybe were bored at work and it looks like were busy on the computer

Amen brother!.... and that reminds my the laughing wife and kids cleaned me out of pastrami. They discovered that they really just like to snack on it, and ate 9 lbs. of pastrami in about 4 days.... *sigh*.

LOL its chicken here I can't keep chicken in the house no matter how much of it I smoke they eat it

Why would anyone let ANY post on the internet bother you unless it's pictures of your wife nude ? Post counts have no effect . Some simply have more free time than others . Some try to answer a post cause it looks lonley without at least one answer . Me , I post due to the fact that everyone here is like minded "Q" folks . Some may like me or dislike me BUT unless they have shaken my hand how do you judge someone ? Just remember there are cliques in all forms of life including here .

Why do I post here?

Because my real life friends are just using me for my barbecue skills.

Oh, and because Jeff said I could. For any reason!

I post because I like the interaction with fellow smokers. When I go fishing I talk fishing with fellow fishermen. When I shoot archery I talk archery with fellow.......I guess you have the point I'm making. Now when I'm hunting, shut your!

I'm guilty of this from time to time, for a couple of reasons.
1. I'm genuinely interested in the answer.
2. I do it to "bump" the thread back to the top so it doesn't get buried.
3. Sometimes I'm a "wise-***" and can't help from making a smart remark.

Plus, I like the interaction.

that really does not bother me, I dont really pay attention to a persons post counts, I pay attention to what a person brings to the table via their smokes, their q-view , the quality of their posts & knowledge of the craft.

All in all SMF is a pretty good forum, good mix of folks, & probably one of the top 1 or 2 forums I post on.
