Took some centercut loin chops from the freezer with intentions of tossing them on the grill. Hmmm what to do with, well out came Google and started searching different glaze ideas. Oooo look whiskey honey glaze. Look at the ingredients, I have that alright
1 stick of butter( I know its not real butter)
8 tablespoons of honey
1/2 cup whiskey.
Melt butter combine with whiskey and honey
Out came the chops, patted them dry, seasoning heavily with salt and pepper and they ready to go
Grill has been started and has gotten screaming hot, on go the chops. Get a good sear on side one, apply glaze. Chops are on the thin side so only needed cpl minutes per side. Flipped chops, glazed the back side. Closed up the grill to set the glaze.
Off the grill and on the counter for a rest while veggies (carrots and peas) finished up in the microwave. Also had some mac and cheese to go with dinner. The glaze was pretty good, had a butterscotchy taste to it. Think I may thicken it a bit on the stove next time
And while the chops were in the grill, some of this to wet the whistle.
