I would never own an electric car, unless they were the only option.
I'd rather pay $10 a gal for diesel if need be, but I wouldn't mind solar though.
Sorry if I offended you ?
We had a town coal plant electric.
It was shut down due to the BS!, I will not go on ?
There was an option to converge it to Natural Gas, the Green crap shot it down.
As we speak, it ben dismantled, Its Gone !
Then they sent military copters to put down higher grade electric high voltage towers .
Basically we lost out local source of electric.
Now ? It is piped in ? WHY?
It gets worse!
The tourist islands: Grandparents houses are sold off : Using very little energy?
Now Joe Blow builder put in a 4 plex: 4 Units. OK?
If you are going to go on VACA?, Do you really care about how you set yur AC?
Problem is GOVT: does not care !
Sorry If I went off the deep end?
I could very easily go alot deeper.

Late to the party here, but very nice and informative post Dan!

First off my condolences for your friends Dad. And agree, F cancer. Lost my Grandpa to that exact form of cancer.

We have four freezers and at times it’s hard to find room. 🤷🏼‍♂️

That is quite the haul and I commend your efforts Dan. Elk is one of the best meats I’ve ever consumed… one of my favs.

I’d sure like to try what you done there as I have never tried that approach to conserving meat. Very impressive!

Also, a belated Congrats on the 25th!

Thats work worth doing. Nice haul! My hunting buddy used to call me and say "my freezer is full, can you get over here and take some meat". I was out the door before he finished the sentence.
Yep. My former next door neighbor would get an elk every other year or so. I would trade him some bacon for his elk, so it was a win-win for both of us.

What a blessing from your buddy! That was a lot of work but it's gonna be good down the road. I'd have been tempted to dry some of it for jerky also. That alone would have saved some of that effort.

That's gonna be some great eating! Dang near drool 🤤 worthy!

Ryan
