I worked for a land surveying company for 3 years. Got to be crew chief a few times on a 1500 acre state of TN job in Soddy Daisy. I really enjoyed my time in that career. We worked all over Nashville doing mostly residential, as well as outlying counties with larger acreage.

Before I day anything about myself I want to say thank you for what you do WV. As for me, I'm in logistics. I'm domestic operations, dispatcher, driver and warehouse guy. Hours suck usually but wouldn't change it. If I get sick of the office life, fire up the Kenworth and do some stops.

I am a retired (6 years now) Police Officer of 30 years and am now in Merchant Services sales focusing on credit card processing
 
Retired Civil/Structural Engineering Designer after 36 years.  Also a part time, then full time for the last 20 years, Ballroom Dance Studio owner/operator/instructor. Finally now fully retired with a lot of time on my hands.  Since I enjoy cooking and dabbling in this business of smoking meat is filling some of that idle time.  Actually wish I had done it sooner.
 
Teacher! Spent 10 years in high school special education, teaching mostly algebra and geometry. I made the move to a better school and now teach 8th grade algebra honors and pre-algebra.. It's a grind but offers plenty of time for smoking during breaks..
 
I am a professor at a medium sized state university. Mostly I teach courses related to legal and risk management issues in athletics. On the side, I volunteer and coach rugby.
 
I'm a cast iron foundry worker. I spend 11 hours a day on the molding line where we average 3000 molds per shift. Spent about 15 years on the pouring line pouring iron but now work on the mold line .
