One of two Kayac companies in and around Thunder Bay offer kayac adventures. They teach new comers and take experienced kayacers out on Lake Superior. This week they visited Silver Islet, Ontario. This is the site of a old silver mine built on a very small island in lake superior. At the time it was one of the riches mines around. Use google search if you want to read up on it. Lots of history there. Its about an hours drive from where I live.
The ones in the water are floating over the old mine shaft.

Yep, it looks like springtime in Canada. You can tell, because in summer the snow pack is a little thinner.
