What to look for shopping for chamber sealer?

I see prices from $300 to $3k. Would like to keep price around $800 .

I have a Vacmaster VP112, but i don't think they are available anymore. Seems its now a VP112S. I can fit a 12x14 bag in mine, thats plenty big for anything i do. Mine has a bit of a pan inside so i can vac liquids, very handy for soups or chilli. Oil or oil less, i can't say if one is better than the other. Bags are getting a little pricey but not bad.

I have vacuumed hundreds of things, it just keeps going.

For me a small footprint is vital. Our chamber vac lives on our all-too-precious countertop real estate where it gets used daily. Probably wouldn’t use near as much if I had to drag it out.
Ours is the MYM oilless, no complaints, replaced our FS simply bc the chamber lives on the counter; FS is on a shelf somewhere.

About all you can do is cut it down to size and vac smaller pieces. Not much else. If it can't fit and can't be cut down, it pretty much doesn't get vac sealed.

it can be vac sealed from the outside if it is to big to fit in the chamber, works like a regular vac sealer. many videos on youtube showing how, I also like how you can seal Ziploc bags with them above the zip seal and then once opened use the Ziploc seal as needed.

Do you have a link to that? That sounds great, i have never heard doing that before.

I have the VEVOR Chamber Vacuum Sealer, DZ-260A. Very happy with it. You dont realize how many wet things you seal until you have one. Makes a wide seal. These things are game changers. They are very heavy. You want a spot to keep it. Not going to be moving it around. I just bought some oil. Was planning on changing it soon. Brian did a good review on the one he got.
