I have a 4foot by 6 foot wood building with tin on the outside I am going to insulate it with foam what should I use for lining the inside wood or some kind of metal?

Hello cherrywood.  I have not built a smokehouse.  From reading posts on here, Most folks line theirs with Durock.  It's available at Lowe's.  You can also seal the seams with high temp food grade silicone for some added piece of mind.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

I would suggest you consider using unfaced fiberglass insulation... just for the safety aspect of a fire....

What source of heat are you planning on.... source of smoke...  temperature ranges you have in mind....
