Peculiar mo
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how much to charge for the meat that I smoke. Most of the time people buy it and I just smoke it for them. I just started about a year and half ago and I am wanting to start doing this as a side business and I have no clue what to charge. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Robbie

You'd be better off worrying about the HD regulations you'll be breaking first.
You can give away meat to friends and family and sell a lil here and there but once it becomes a business, you gotta be official!

That will depend on alot of things. What type of meat your smokin, how much time you have envolved in it, cost of materials, cost of insurance, cost of equipment, inspections by your health department.

It is not a cheap business to enter into and do it legit. Not sayin it can't be done, but check into everythin first. Besure you are insured! $20 an hour would be cheap, $30 more then reasonable, $40 for a proffesional.

Good luck.
