I never used this, seen this, or heard about this (A-Maze-N) thing.
What is it and how does it work and/or with what?
See even a BBQ jerk like me, needs to learn.

Best pellet trays and tubes you will ever buy. Great for cold smoking and low temp cooks.

I have every tray and tube Todd makes.

Old Sarge, thanks, I founded that link, now I'm really sold.
Ordering The 5" x 8" so I can use both dust or pellets.
Will wait a day to see if anyone can talk me out of it and save money.

Ya see, this is what this forum is all about.
Ask, receive, investigate, buy!

Lots of info on this site about using the AMNPS..do your yourself a favor and read as much as you can and you will be ahead of the curve when it arrives. I have used it for 5 yrs and that is the only source of smoke I have ever used to date. Lots of tips on lighting it, where to put it, how much to fill it etc: You made a smart purchase!

Same one I got! Yea I think it comes with a lil bag of pellets. Let you know Monday when it gets here. I've had the 6" tube for a while, I use it in GMG Pellet Smoker to supplement smoke for the first few hours.

I have the 12" tube and love it. My first smoker was an electric one, and I did not like the amount of smoke it put out. I simply used the smoker for heat and used the tube for the smoke. Excellent results!

Well, what is the difference between this tube and the tray?

Tubes require less O2 to stay lit, so are useful in applications where oxygen levels are low - higher altitude, and inside of gas and pellet grills. Trays are much more difficult to keep lit in low O2 environments. The advantage of the tray is that it can burn for much longer than the tubes - up to 12 hours.

Trays can also burn sawdust - meaning even less heat.

I use the tube(s) in both my MES 30 and WSM.My MES is unmodded so the tubes are ideal for me.I've been getting an average of 3hrs smoke out of the 6" tube and about 5hrs on the 12" using Traeger pellets.

Nice I got to wait till Wednesday, and guess what our temps outside will be in the 40's, YES!

Funny though, from -1*F to 40's in just 4 days. You rock mother nature.
