What drum is ok

Hi guys gonna build my first smoker I have an empty drum at the house that used to have anti freeze in it. I've talked to a few people locally and they said it would all burn out. Is it still safe to use?

Hey, welcome to the forum. Glad you joined us.

I'm going to set back and watch your build ...

As for the barrel, if it is burned out really well(2-3 broken-up Pallets should do the job) then cleaned with a wire brush , you will be OK.

Will be intresting how you connect the FB to the barrel . A lot of builders out there, so info. on the project is no problem.
