Monday, a pack rat was building a nest under the hood of my truck... Pulled the nest out and went about my business...
Checked on Tuesday... Rebuilding the nest.... Persistent bugger....
Put my Rat Zapper trap on top of the 6.5 turbo diesel...
Wednesday morning... I went and checked the trap..

The dog treats had not been touched... This thing is a killer machine.......

I HIGHLY recommend this if you have problems with critters.... Some folks wrote in it will kill squirrels too... Squirrels can be a real nuisance....

..

Had to google that--hadn't even heard of them. |Looks like one mean machine. But they're kinda pricey up here, I've only go 4 squirrels bothering me, so I'm just letting them eat all summer then 4 rounds of 22LR and I'll be eating them.

Not much meat on a squirrel, but four of them might make a nice stew :-)

Last year chipmunks tore up my tomatoes. I lost maybe 4 or 5 canned pints worth. This year I declared take no prisoners war.

$5.99 at Meijer. Easy to load, easy to cock and light on the trigger.
This is #7

What product is this? All I see is the word rat in the pic.

If I can get'em in my sites anyone of my Beeman,RWS or Gamo air rifles will do the trick...except when I'm sleeping, they don't shoot without someone pulling the trigger!

I like the " drop in the bucket " but I have a black snake that lives in the landscaping . Keeps things in check .
On another note , those chip monks are a pain on flat work . They get under sidewalks and driveways and dig 'til it fails .

Nice score Dave.
Critters can sure raise hell with wiring harnesses when they get in a vehicle. Had a mouse get into the wiring under my console in my 07 Duramax , burnt up the complete harness when wires shorted. Not another harness to be found in US new or used . They had to build one. Was without truck for about a month. Vendetta against them now. . .

I think Elmer needs one of these

Chippies have a sweet tooth, peanut butter topped with caramel popcorn. My Gamo .177 is my go to, quiet accurate

I use this one. Very effective. I use p butter as well for bait.

For chipmunks I use a small live capture trap. And relocate them out of town. Wife's request. Though, I've used it for mice as well.

I've been using the 'Better mouse' and 'Better rodent' traps for years... They make 2 sizes... I've tried ALL the others over the years and they all take 2nd place to these guys....

Will have to check these out.

I live in the country...have tried traps, cats, more traps and even more cats (7 at once) ...the critters were still winning.

I now have 7 bait stations around the house. I get maybe one critter every 2 or 3 years now. Have to refill the bait stations every 3 months. Do the same in my barn.

This year I had a really bad squirrel problem. I was was plinking away with the 'ole 22 when BBQing or smoking meats...but red tail hawks came in and cleared them out in 3 or 4 days. Like a dozen or so. They left one token squirrel...so did I
