You need to walk right in the house and tell Ann you have to go buy a new John Deere because in all those years of dreaming about having one not once did it have any scratches on it :emoji_laughing:
Glad you didn't get hurt doing that stunt those sudden stops can hurt
Lol! She was worried about the cost. It was a sudden stop. But luckly the only thing that got hurt was my pride.

I have cruise on the Kubota tractor also, its nice when i level the roads, but if your cruising for a while, when you have to make a change, sometimes your brain goes into neutral, ive blown off my road a few times, luckily nobody was coming the other way. Its good in a way but not good.

Don't be to hard on yourself, its easier to do than a person thinks

Corey

The cruise is nice out in open areas when spraying and such, but have to admit ,I have come close to do the same thing Steve.

Thanks Corey. I guess it is. Still upsets me that I did something like this!

Thanks.

Maybe upgrade to a GPS controlled unit like the farmers have now? I know most of them watch TV while the tractor works.

Steve H Steve H , I laugh tongue in cheek as I do stuff like that all the time… and yea, usually have witnesses! 😂

Where we live is a big farming community… have an old family friend that works for a big farm outfit and has done for years. He mentioned the last I seen him as it’s been a while.

He said, yea just out plowing and letting the tractor do its thing… I can just do whatever for the most part… said he was way back in the farmland where you don’t want to have less than a certain amount of fuel… Fuel light come on and he said… Damn it, the only thing now adays that “I” need to keep and eye on and didn’t… he said been spoiled with these new tractors and why they can do.

Asked what he done… said well wasn’t in cell reception so walked a bit until I had it. Called, got a truck out to fuel up enough to make back to shop and fuel up all the way.

But he said, that wasn’t the bad part… bad part was all the $hit he got from his coworkers and the owner. 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

My John Deere is my baby. Yeah. Just a garden tractor. But wanted one for as long as I can remember. I had it for three years. Only 22 hours on it. Today, I got home and figued I'd cut the grass. Going around the backyard. I decided to use the cruise control. Only the second time I have.
Got near the deck. And without thinking hit the go pedal instead of the brake. S%!T!!!!!!

Got lucky I guess. Cracked the bumper cover. Lesson learned. If I hadn't been using cruise. This wouldn't have happened. And to add insult to injury. Ann was looking out the window when I did this!
Sorry to laugh but that’s funny! 😂

My ex boss's ex wife pushed a horizontal propane tank off the pads with the grass hopper zero turn mower.
She had horses and I asked why they didn't have a skid steer. Boss replied "I'm lucky to have a barn standing with her running a compact tractor

A cousin of mine found and bought a nearly new used Grasshopper zero turn for what he considered a great price.
First time using it he about ripped all the siding off his house.
Makes you wonder about the first owner's reason for selling it.

We've all done dumb things. But I'd say confession is good for the soul. Try to cover up stuff like this and the long-term pain is only worse.

But try to not do that again, eh? :-)
