I initially ordered a MES30 but the company I ordered if from is on back ordered so I got my money back. That being said I can spend up to about 350 so I am thinking of getting a MES40 off of QVC which appears to be a gen 1 going by the location of the control panel. Or I have thought of getting a bradley unit off of Amazon. All I know is since I am so new to smoking I want to stay electric for ease of use, and add a amnps. What are your guys recommendations? Am I missing a better choice?

I ordered the MES 30 Gen I from QVC and I'm fairly satisfied.  There was some confusion from QVC, so I had to wait longer than I originally had planned, but I was credited with $25.

The unit was missing the connector for the meat probe to plug into the main controller, but Masterbuilt is sending that as we speak.  All in all, I got the unit at a good price, especially with the $25 credit.
