Seems like chuck roast is the new flavor of the month and now its getting pretty expensive here in EPT.  Is it our fault on smoking meats that we push prices higher LOL!!!!

Sometimes you got to wonder, but I just picked a couple up for 2.99/lb and I'm happy..:sausage:

Brisket is about the same price as Chuck roasts around here. So you know what I am smoking.

We get brisket for 1/3 the price of chuck, so it's a no brainer.

Don't know why they cost so much.

Chucks been high for the last 4-5 years here. Currently it's $8.99/pound. Sometimes it's on sale for $6.99, but not often.

Here a Chuck is $4.99/lb CAN ($3.30 USD). Full packer is $6.58/lb CAN ($4.35 USD). I don't think we have as many smoking enthusiasts here as in the US hence the lower prices on the tougher smoker cuts we all enjoy. Also I notice when we get a real cheap sale on the fine cuts of beef they come from the US not Canada

You have to add to the mix that so many people are going for ground chuck now over regular ground beef. Supply & Demand....
